Friday Night Football 20 Minute Dinner

For many of us who are teachers, Friday night means heading to a high school football game or other sports event.  We’ve worked all week and just want a super yummy, easy, nutritious and quick dinner for the family.   Tonight, make a quick skillet beefy noodle dinner.   This is classy and delicious!  Takes 20 minutes max if you do a bit of prep the night before, or 25-30 minutes with no pre-prep.  Printable recipe below.  Enjoy!

Friday Night Football 20 Minute Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 can organic whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 can organic "Sloppy Joe" sauce or (optional) 2 cups of homemade sauce
  • 1 lb. browned and drained grassfed ground beef
  • 1/2 onion chopped (may be omitted)
  • 1/2 package of hand rolled extra-wide noodles (the handmade ones make all the difference)

Instructions

  • Put water to boil for the noodles and then proceed with these instructions.
  • In a wide pan put whole peeled tomatoes with juice, can or 2 cups of Sloppy Joe sauce, onions, and browned meat in the pan. Heat sauce and stir as onions become translucent. (10 min.)
  • Place handmade noodles in boiling water and par boil for 5 minutes (5 min.)
  • Drain parboiled noodles and put in wide pan of meat sauce and cook for 5 minutes or until the noodles are perfectly cooked. (5 minutes) Serve and enjoy.
  • Serves 4 - 6
